Windows 8 Has Keyboard ShortCuts - Lots of Them! Now that I’ve had several weeks to take Windows 8 for a spin I'm getting the hang of it. I see where Microsoft is going. Sort of. Initially, the Metro user interface (UI)was a quite puzzling to me. And it still is a pain on a non touch screen enabled device without a through knowledge of keyboard shortcuts. Initially, I was only aware of a few keyboard shortcuts but not enough of them to keep me productive at all. Fortunately, there is a list. A large list of them! Most users without a touch screen device will want to learn and use them to navigate quickly. Where are the keyboard shortcuts?. Well they were hiding in plain site. Turns out the Microsoft team had posted them on the Windows Experience site and I missed them. - Howard Sobel, Site Editor Download Windows 8 Keyboard Shortcuts!
Microsoft Boosts Some Skydrive Users to -- 25 Gigs!If you are already using Microsoft SkyDrive and have more than 4 GB, you will be instantly upgraded free to 25 GB. If you're just starting out you get 7GB free! There are mobile apps for iPhone, iPad Retina and Windows Phone. Android users will have to log in via their browser (no app). Featured apps are: Xobni (I love Xobni), One Note which is Microsoft's note app that is integrated with Office (handy). HandyScan scanning app for Windows phone. I've been using Skydrive(since Microsoft's started offering it on Live.) There are many other choices like Dropbox, Box.net (50 Gig), now Google with a paltry 5GB free. Not to mention some concerns about who owns the content.
Features:
•7GB free for all new SkyDrive users. Plenty of space for documents most photos of course your not going to be storing huge video here or online as files are huge. Microsoft feels that 99% of the users traditionally don't require more than this amount. That has been the same statistic traditional backup vendors have given us in the past.
Ability to upload large files – up to 2GB – and folders using SkyDrive for the Windows desktop or SkyDrive for OS X Lion.
Paid storage plans (+20GB, +50GB, +100GB) so that power users who need more storage can easily add more at competitive prices (US$10/year, US$25/year, US$50/year). Please note that paid-for storage requires the ability to pay by credit card (or via PayPal, in some markets) and a Windows Live ID that can be associated with that credit card or PayPal account.
According to Microsoft 7 GB should be enough for most users but those who have already registered and uploaded files to SkyDrive* as of April 22nd can opt in to keep 25GB of free storage.

Small, Fast, Flexible - WR700N 150Mbps Wireless N Mini Pocket Router
These three words spell out the advantages of TP-LINK’s new TL-WR700N 150Mbps Wireless N Mini Pocket Router. Packed inside this tiny footprint (3.2 x 2.8 x 1.1 inches it fits inside a large pocket) sits an extremely flexible wireless solution for use at home and travelling. Since many hotels offer wired ethernet connections they seem to limit you to one specific area. TP-LINK has eliminated that problem by allowing you to plug in the device near the cable and you have your own WI-FI hot spot in your room. You can then use your any of your WI-FI enabled devices. Surprisingly, it supports 5 modes: AP Mode (Default), Client, Repeater Mode and Bridge Mode. The AP mode converts a wired (cat 5 connection) into a simple wireless access point providing any WI-FI device within range a solid ultra fast connection. For comparison we tested a Fios G router, a Belkin N router along with the TP-LINK product. The WR700N got the fastest download and upload speeds on Ookla’s speed tests feeding off of a FIOS fiber optic connection. The modem is compatible with 802.11n/g/b and supports WEP, WPA/WPA2, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK encryption standards.Read more.

This Week's Windows Tip
How to Pin Windows Task Manager to the Windows 7 Start Bar - I’m often killing off unwanted tasks in Windows 7 to free up resources or just to trouble shoot. If you use the keyboard combinations CRTL-ALT-DEL it brings you back to the Blue Windows 7 Screen after a few seconds and one of the choices is “Task Manager”. But there is a much easier way.
